Thank you for interest in our residency program. For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, we currently train 5 radiology residents per year. We are in central New England with ready access to urban, suburban, and surprisingly rural exposure. Your four years here will hopefully be the most educational, influential, and enjoyable experiences of your lives.
Our program is unique in several ways. Although based at a large tertiary care hospital, the training is provided by the private practice radiologists from Jefferson Radiology. This blend of private practice/academic training offers you some exciting opportunities that are unavailable elsewhere. Being the largest private practice group of radiologists in New England, we cover all subspecialties of radiology, allowing the residents participation in every aspect of a dynamic practice. This blend of complex inpatient exams and outpatient experience provides a well-rounded training, preparing you for either a career in academics or high-end private practice when you leave. Our approach to training will prepare you to be extremely capable, efficient, and sought-after radiologists.
We’ve tried to include some pertinent information and links to better familiarize you with our program and the greater Hartford area. Follow the links in the top menu bar to get to know more about the residents and the Greater Hartford Area. Peruse the entertainment links for nearby concerts, plays, and events. We’ve even included links to several activities we have found to be particularly enjoyable. In short, the commute to work is easy, traffic is not a problem at all, and when not diligently studying, you’ll have plenty of things to do to relax.
Enjoy our resident website and check out our links to our Facebook page and our official website on the Hartford Hospital system. This “resident website” and the “official website” each provides a different emphasis on training, education, and of course socialization. The blend of work and play on these links hopefully reflects a clearer picture of our program.
As radiologists, we chose to have the best that both the academic and private practice models can provide. Be assured that whatever the changing landscape of Radiology has in store, you will be well prepared from your training here.
